With low weight, instant acceleration and a high level of comfort, the Mavic Allroad S is an ideal gravel wheelset. The wide carbon rims reduce drag and improve stability, and the optimised aerodynamics and the Instant Drive 360 freehub system ensure a fast and efficient ride on a variety of surfaces.
Carbon construction for speed and efficiency
The Mavic Allroad S gravel bike wheel has a carbon rim with a 25 mm inner width that has been specially developed to give you speed, comfort and control. Thanks to the Adaptative Layup construction, the amount of carbon fibre is tailored to the load on different parts of the rim. While less material is used in areas under less stress, the rim is reinforced around the spoke holes. Thus, the construction remains stiff and strong without adding unnecessary weight. This construction saves up to 70 grams per rim and results in a more responsive ride. The wider rim shape also ensures a smooth transition between the rim and the tyre, reducing aerodynamic drag.

The combination of an optimised aerodynamic profile and a wide carbon rim contributes to a faster and smoother ride. Since the contact area between the tyre and the road surface is wider and shorter, you can ride with lower tyre pressure for more comfort and stability on rough surfaces. The lower weight of the rim reduces rotational inertia, which, together with INFINITY hub technology, ensures instant acceleration. The Instant Drive 360 freewheel system uses a ratchet mechanism that engages quickly for efficient power transfer.
